Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees
Met Éireann have provided their daily weather forecast for County Carlow and surrounding areas.
Some dry weather across the next couple of days and turning slightly wetter over the weekend.

Firstly looking at Met Éireann for today:
"A largely dry today with a good deal of cloud and just limited brighter spells. Dry for most but a few patches of light rain or drizzle are possible in eastern or southern parts later in the day. Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in light easterly breezes."
Tonight:
"Tonight will be mostly cloudy with some patches of light rain. However, some breaks in the cloud may occur especially inland. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees generally, but locally colder under any cloud breaks with a touch of frost and some mist or fog patches. Light variable breezes or calm conditions."
Tomorrow:
"Tomorrow will start with a good deal of cloud expected along with some patchy rain and drizzle. Becoming mostly dry with some bright or sunny spells developing later. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees generally in light northwest or variable breezes."
Friday Night:
"Largely cloudy at first with light rain or drizzle in the northwest, slowly sinking southeastwards while becoming patchier. Becoming clearer from the north and west towards morning with a few showers near Atlantic coasts. Some patches of frost or fog are possible. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 3 degrees with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds developing."
An early look to Saturday:
"Mostly dry with spells of sunshine and just well scattered showers, mainly near northern and western coasts. Through the afternoon and evening, cloud will build from the northwest. Some rain or drizzle will develop in northwestern parts during the evening. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light to moderate westerly breezes."
Sunday:
"Mostly cloudy with a few patches of light rain and drizzle, mainly for northern and western counties. Milder with highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with moderate westerly winds developing, fresh at times in the west and north."
