Saoirse Ronan
Carlow raised Actor, Saoirse Ronan, has been nominated for an Academy Award for the Best Original Song for her song 'Winter Coat' which features in the war drama Blitz.
The 2025 Oscars will take place on the 2nd of March and Saoirse will be up against the likes of Robbie Williams, Elton John, and Kneecap at the awards ceremony.

Saoirse headlines the film Blitz, that was released in 2024, and was directed by Steve McQueen.
