Tributes paid to Carlow man who was 'always a joker' following his passing

Michael DOOLEY - John Sweeney Park - 25th December 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Michael Dooley of John Sweeney Park, Tullow Rd, Co. Carlow and formerly Duggan Avenue, Graiguecullen and O’Hanrahan Avenue.

Michael passed away peacefully at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny on the 25th December 2024.

Beloved husband of Rose, much loved father of Liam, Kaitlin, Alex, Emma and the late Darren and cherished brother of Elizabeth, Sheila and Thomas.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, children, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"So sad to hear the passing of Mickey , sending condolences to all of Michael’s family . Mickey was such a lovable rogue in our early days in Duggan Avenue . Always the joker , always a great laugh and some great memories of our younger days . Rest in peace."

Another reads: 

"Deepest sympathy To his Wife Rose & Family. His Sisters Elizabeth , Sheila , his Brother Thomas . Great Memories of Michael & Always Very Nice Man we Always had a Laugh & A joke when we met . May Michael ‘s Gentle Soul rest of peace"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, (Eircode R93 ET80) on Friday, December 27th, from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, followed by burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.
