"A weather rockstar" That was the description given the Carlow's favourite weather man Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather on this morning's Today FM Gift Grub sketch.

The hilarious sketch about the weatherman was broadcast this morning on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show.

The sketch takes the mick about about how boring and drab old school weathermen were and how you can now get you weather anywhere.

And they go on to say "The days of Met Éireann's monopoly are over. Fake weather that's what they are yeah."

With Alan's intro to the sketch being, "The man they are referring to is a weather forecast phenomenon, the breakout weather man of the decade, his name is Carlow Weather."

"Carlow Weather aka Alan O'Reilly has taken weather forecasting by storm, he's a weather rock star."

They go on to joke that Alan's "legendary gigs sell out in seconds" with his new album "Black Ice has gone platinum"

With a great impression of Eamon Dunphy saying "He's the real deal, I think he is the Lionel Messi of weather forecasters."

"The sketch even had Alan laughing writing: This mornings Gift Grub. Very funny to be fair to @GiftGrubMario"

The full sketch is definitely worth a listen and can be found linked in Alan's own Twitter post attached below this article.
