Woman(70s) in hospital following being struck by a car in Carlow

Carlow Gardaí are investigating an incident where a woman in her 70s was struck by a car in Castleview, Graiguecullen, Carlow on Tuesday the 21st of January 2025, shortly after 8pm.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance to Waterford Hospital and her injuries are described as not life-threatening.

From the Garda Press Office:

Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 21st January, 2025, Gardaí responded to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at Castleview, Graiguecullen, County Carlow.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was taken by ambulance to Waterford Hospital for assessment. Her injuries are not life-threatening. 

Investigations are ongoing.
