Gardaí respond to 'potential explosive device' at Carlow residence

Carlow Gardaí were alerted to a potential explosive device at a residence in Hacketstown, Carlow, last night, Tuesday the 15th of April 2025.

A cordon was established and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene.

The EOD team examined and removed the device. The area was declared safe and the cordon was lifted.

The Garda Press Office will like to not that this matter is not currently subject to a criminal investigation.
