Carlow-based VisionGreen Consultancy, proudly supported by the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council, has been named a winner at the 25th annual National Enterprise Awards, held in the historic Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin.
The Rathvilly-based firm took home the top prize in the prestigious “Green Business” category, celebrating their outstanding contribution to sustainability and environmental innovation. Founded in 2019 by Ronan Murphy and John Pakenham, VisionGreen Consultancy empowers businesses to go beyond compliance by delivering bespoke sustainability strategies that drive meaningful change, reduce environmental impact, and boost profitability.

Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development & Enterprise at Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office, praised the achievement: “This award is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and excellence that Ronan Murphy and the VisionGreen team bring to their work. They are leading the way in helping businesses transition to a greener future, and I’m confident they will continue to be pioneers in their field.”
Cllr. Fergal Browne, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, also extended his congratulations: “VisionGreen Consultancy’s success is a proud moment for Carlow. It showcases the strength and ambition of local enterprises and serves as an inspiration for others. Their win also highlights the valuable support available through our Local Enterprise Office, and I encourage all Carlow businesses to engage with the LEO team to unlock their potential.”
The overall winner at the National Enterprise Awards was SPRYT a virtual assistant that can liaise directly with patients on appointments via simple SMS communications to ensure appointment completion and can effectively reallocate appointments in real-time to eliminate no shows and doctor and consultant wastage.
