The waterworks are due to take place till 8pm on Thursday evening
Due to emergency watermain repairs water serving a number of local Carlow areas will be turned off with immediate effect.
Water serving Slaneybank, Cuckoo Corner, Bough, Ricketstown Co. Carlow, and all surrounding areas will need to be off with immediate effect until 8pm, today 26th June 2025.
Water serving Oakley Park, Caislean Court, Springdale, Idrone Park and Seven Springs, Tullow Road, Carlow may be affected from 10 am to 5pm today 26th June 2025.

The information comes from Carlow County Council's Facebook Page and reads:
"Due to emergency watermain repairs, the water serving Slaneybank, Cuckoo Corner, Bough, Ricketstown Co. Carlow, and all surrounding areas will need to be off with immediate effect until 8pm, today 26th June 2025.

For all mains water and sewage enquiries, please contact the Uisce Eireann customer care phone line on 1800 278 278 (open 24 hours 7 days a week)."
