Local communities and businesses in the county can now apply for a grant to help towards the cost of Christmas lights this festive season

Christmas arrives early in Carlow as grant applications now available for festive lights

It may still be August, but local communities and businesses in Carlow have already been invited to apply for funding assistance to help cover the costs of setting up Christmas lights this festive season.

As part of the 2025 Budget, Carlow County Council will provide grant assistance to local communities across Carlow this year to help them purchase, erect, dismantle and maintain Christmas lights on public streets.

Applications are now being accepted from from local community and business groups.

Carlow County Council will be accepting applications up until 19 September. 

Areas awarded funding will be advised of this in October.
