The donation page was set up to help with the costs of his treatment, hospital stays, and everyday living costs as his parents Keith and Danielle are out of work to look after Charlie and his little brother Odhran.

The page has already raised €13,757 out of a €16,000 goal. You can donate by clicking HERE.

The message on the GoFundMe page reads:

"Recently on the 9th of August our 4 year old son Charlie was diagnosed with leukemia. Something that us as a family never taught we would ever hear .

"Charlie was due to start junior infants this September a new chapter in his life new friends to make and new adventures to have but instead now at 4 years old has a long journey and fight ahead of him.

"Leukemia treatment is very intense and Charlie has at least 2 years of treatment ahead of him. He will have lots of appointments for chemotherapy check up bloods and some procedures. A long road ahead but as a family we will make sure we are with him every step of the way. Due to taking time off work to care for Charlie we would really appreciate some help.
