Carlow Jazz Musican Carole Nelson
UK born, but a long-term Carlow resident, Carole Nelson and her Trio, are releasing their fourth album in 10 years.
THROUGH THE STORM is released on Ireland's Jazz record label, Livia Records, which has other luminaries such as the late Louis Stewart, Ronan Guilfoyle and Michael Buckley its catalog.

With Carole on piano, Cormac O Brien on bass and Dominic Mullan on drums, the trio continues their ever-strengthening bond spanning 10 years of performance and three previous albums.
The new album, THROUGH THE STORM is supported with launch gigs in The Cooler, Dublin (9th October), Visual Carlow (12th October) and Billy Byrnes Kilkenny (23rd October).

Previously Carole was part of the successful pop/Jazz group Zrazy which toured extensively internationally.
In 2024 Carole received the IMC’s Ban Bam award for women composers in jazz and improvised music, leading to performances at the Manchester, and London Jazz Festivals.
Carole is a regular performer on Ireland's jazz scene, including collaborations with Ireland's leading jazz singer Honro Heffernan
She also composed Ooh Aah Paul Mc Grath as well as several choral music pieces.
