The rain warnings could lead to localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions
Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rain warning for Carlow over the weekend.
The forecaster has announced that the warning will be in place from 8pm on Saturday to 8am on Sunday morning.
They have advised that the public can expect spells of heavy rain with the possibility of a few thundery downpours from the status yellow rain warning.

Possible impacts include difficult travelling conditions and localised flooding.
Besides Carlow, several other counties have also been hit with a status yellow rain warning including Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford while a status orange rain warning has been declared for Cork and Waterford.
