Carlow's favourite Christmas movie has been revealed and it might not come as a surprise.
New research from Virgin Media Ireland has looked at Google search volumes from every December since 2021.
The study looked at the top 100 highest-grossing Christmas movies of all time, as well as how often Irish audiences searched for each title during the festive season.
According to the study, Love Actually is the most popular Christmas film in Carlow, with an average of 3,200 searches each festive season.

It's followed closely by Home Alone, which had 2,920 searches, and then Elf, with 2,290.
Die Hard, Last Christmas, Violent Night, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life, and Deck the Halls make up the top 10.
Nationally, Home Alone and Love Actually came out on top as Ireland’s favourite Christmas movies, with both films racking up an impressive 74,000 searches every December.
Whether it's a Christmas Eve movie night or a festive film marathon, research shows that festive movies continue to play an important role in how people in Carlow celebrate the holidays.
