Primary schools throughout Carlow and across the country are being encouraged to get creative as Emerald Park launches its first-ever Primary School Tour Competition with one lucky school set to win a complimentary 2026 school tour experience!
In an exciting nationwide call-out, schools are invited to craft a fun and imaginative limerick featuring the words “Emerald Park” for the chance to secure a full day of adventure, wildlife encounters and high-energy fun!
The winning school will enjoy a complimentary school tour to the theme park and zoo located only 20 minutes outside of Dublin in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, during select dates in May or June 2026, with full access to the park’s incredible range of attractions.
Entries must be submitted by Friday, 27th March 2026, and only one entry per school is permitted.
This marks the very first competition of its kind from Emerald Park and presents an exciting opportunity for schools across Carlow to secure a memorable end-of-year celebration for their pupils.
When it comes to school tours, Emerald Park delivers a day that ticks every box. From exploring the park’s fully accredited zoo home to more than 250 animals to discovering immersive habitats like Lemur Woods to majestic leopards, pupils can connect with wildlife in a hands-on, engaging way. Budding conservationists can learn about biodiversity and animal behaviour, all outside the classroom walls.
