ALERT:   Man caught on CCTV cameras attamepting to open car doors in Carlow estate

CCTV footgae from multiple cameras in a Carlow estate have shown a man attempting to open numerous car doors in the early hours of the monirng. 

On a post in the Facebook group 'All About Carlow,' photos of the man in question can be seen.

He was caught trying to open car doors in Willow Park estate at around 5:20am on Tuesday morning.

The post also states that the same man had rang one home's doorbell and said he was looking for a life home after a night out.

Multile other CCTV cameras from different parts of the town picked up footage of the same man trying car doors. 

The group admin has advised residents in Carlow to avoid keeping valuables in their cars and to ensure all vehicles are locked.

People are also being encouraged to check their home security footage and to contact Gardaí if they have any information on the man in question. 

A separate post with a video shows what is believed to be the same man hovering by a car and peering inside.

It appears the incidents have not been made aware to Gardaí, with a spokesperson saying there are "no reports" of such incidents.
