A Carlow student was among almost 1,300 graduates celebrating a major milestone at Dublin City University's recent spring ceremonies.
Kelly O'Rourke from Carlow Town was among those who crossed the stage at the Helix to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (General) during the Spring Graduation Ceremony at DCU.
She graduated alongside fellow students Sophie Kinahan (Swords, Co Dublin), Jessica O'Neill (Newbridge, Co Kildare), Abbie Harte (Tullamore, Co Offaly) and Hannah Gorman (Swords, Co Dublin).

In total, almost 1,300 graduates received their parchments across three ceremonies held in the Mahony Hall in The Helix on Friday, March 27.

Students from all five of the university's faculties took part, including DCU Business School, the Institute of Education, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Science & Health, and the Faculty of Engineering & Computing.
This year also marked a milestone for the university, with the first graduates from the MA in Documentary Practice crossing the stage.
Speaking at the ceremonies, DCU President Prof Dáire Keogh said: "Today is a special day, a day when we get to celebrate the very purpose of our University: the education and graduation of our students.
"We wish each of our graduates every success in the years to come as they make their contribution to the DCU mission 'to transform lives and societies'."
