The Carlow hurlers’ route through this year’s Joe McDonagh Cup has been confirmed, with a testing campaign on the horizon for Pat Bennett’s side.
The Barrowsiders will begin with a home clash against neighbours Laois in Netwatch Cullen Park on Saturday, April 18 at 6pm, a fixture that is sure to bring an early championship edge.
Carlow then face a demanding run of away ties, starting with a trip to Westmeath in TEG Cusack Park on Saturday, April 25 (4pm) before travelling north to take on Down in Ballycran on Saturday, May 09.
They return to home soil in Round 4 to face London on Saturday, May 16 at 1pm, before finishing their group campaign with what could prove a decisive clash away to Antrim in Corrigan Park on Sunday, May 24 (1pm, venue TBC).
The five-game schedule sees Carlow face a mix of familiar rivals and difficult away assignments, with trips to Westmeath, Down and Antrim likely to shape their chances of progressing.

After a challenging league campaign, focus now turns fully to the championship with Carlow aiming to build momentum quickly and reclaim the Joe McDonagh Cup for the first time since 2023.
