A lucky lotto player in Carlow has just bagged a life-changing cash prize in the Euromillions draw on Tuesday night last.
Two EuroMillions Plus tickets matched all five numbers to scoop the top prize of €500,000 each in last night’s draw (Tuesday, 21st April). A Carlow player and a Dublin player each won half a million euro.
The winning numbers in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw were:2, 9, 11, 16 and 28.
One of the winning tickets, sold in Co. Carlow, was won by a player who purchased their ticket on the day of the draw at Centra, Ballon, Co. Carlow.
The second EuroMillions Plus top prize was won in Dublin, with the winning ticket also sold on the day of the draw at Charles Treacy, 191 Philipsburgh Avenue, Marino, Dublin 3.
While two Irish players celebrated their Plus wins, the EuroMillions jackpot was shared by three players, two in the UK and one in France, with each winning an incredible €48,175,066.
National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, shared,“It’s a fantastic midweek result for our players in Carlow and Dublin, with two EuroMillions Plus players each picking up the top prize of €500,000. We’re urging anyone who bought a ticket in these locations to check their numbers carefully today, as two tickets are worth €500,000!”
The Tuesday night winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or emailclaims@lottery.ieand arrangements will be made for them to collect their prizes at Lottery Headquarters.
Meanwhile, tonight’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €7.5 million. Players dreaming of winning big are reminded that tickets can be purchased nationwide in-store, through the National Lottery app or online atwww.lottery.ieahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
