Motorists advised as Limerick Tunnel set to partially close

The southbound bore of the Limerick Tunnel will be closed from 7pm

MOTORISTS are being advised that the southbound bore of the Limerick Tunnel will be closed to traffic next Monday night.

The planned closure for Junction 4 Cratloemoyle, which will impact traffic travelling towards Dublin and Cork will be in place on Thursday, August 17 from 9:30pm to 6am on Tuesday morning.

Diversions will be in effect, and the northbound direction towards Shannon and Galway will not be affected.

Alternative routes will include, N69 (Ennis Road), R527 (Condell Road) and R445 (Ennis Road) to N18 Junction 4 (Cratloemoyle).

Motorists who intend to travel this route are being advised to allow some additional time because of the diversions that will be place.
