The Clare County Heritage Plan will run from 2024 to 2030
THE DEADLINE is approaching for receipt of submissions and observations regarding the Draft Clare County Heritage Plan.
The local authority is advising members of the public that a copy of the 40-page draft plan is available for public inspection at all public libraries and at Clare County Council Municipal District offices.
It can also be viewed online here.
The six-year plan, which will run until 2030, provides a clear framework setting out the vision and key focus areas to help guide the council in continuing its endeavours towards bringing heritage to all sectors of the community through education, raising awareness and ongoing engagement.
It is the 4th Clare County Heritage Plan and has been developed against a backdrop of ever-increasing challenges including the deepening climate crisis and global biodiversity collapse.
All submissions and observations, which will be considered before the final draft of the Plan is put before councillors, must be received in writing or by email by close of business this Friday, December 1.
