Eagle-eyed planespotters noticed a flight out of Shannon Airport this week with an unusual flight pattern.
One shared a screengrab on social media of a plane making multiple passes over and back the airport over Limerick and Clare.

Shauns_Aviation, a popular planespotting account that was tagged in the post, explained that the unusual pattern was likely a training flight.
"There are a few new pilots onboard who will take turns doing some takeoffs and landings ahead of their first passenger flights," he explained in a reply to the original tweet.
