Live TV confirmed for crunch Clare versus Tipperary clash in Munster Championship

Clare's crunch Munster Senior Hurling Championship match against Tipperary will be broadcast live on free-to-air television, it has been confirmed.

The fixture, which throws in at 4pm on Sunday, will be shown on the RTÉ News Channel and it will also be available to watch on the RTÉ Player.

While the Premier County cannot progress in this year's Championship, victory for Clare will see Brian Lohan's side qualify for the Munster SHC final. However, a loss in Semple Stadium, Thurles could see the Banner County make an early exit from the competition- depending on results elsewhere.

On Monday it was confirmed that the Limerick versus Waterford match at TUS Gaelic Grounds will be shown on The Sunday Game on RTÉ 2 television.

There was uncertainty regarding live TV coverage of the Tipperary versus Clare fixture after GAAGO opted to show the Kilkenny versus Wexford fixture in the final round of the Leinster SHC.

In an update, this Tuesday afternoon, RTÉ Sport confirmed the round robin match will be shown on free-to-air TV.

The RTÉ News channel is available via Channel 21 on Saorview and it is also available via other platforms such as Sky and Virgin.

As usual, Clare FM will provide local radio coverage of Sunday's match while there will also be coverage on RTÉ Radio 1 and Off the Ball on Newstalk.
