ALERT: Two vehicles stolen in Clare town in less than 48 hours

Gardai in Sixmilebridge are seeking information following the theft of two vehicles in Sixmilebridge over a 48-hour period.

In the first incident, a red Yamaha motorcycle was taken from outside a residential property in the Fana Glas estate in the town during the early hours of Sunday morning - between 1.30am and 9am.

"Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have observed any person or persons with this red Yamaha motorcycle in the early hours of Sunday morning or may have CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist gardaí with their investigations to contact them," said crime prevention officer Sergeant Catriona Holohan.

In the second incident, a white Volkswagen Caddy van was taken from outside a house in the Rowan View estate sometime  between 11.30pm on Monday and 5am on Tuesday.

"The perpetrators gained access to the residential property and stole the van keys. They subsequently left the scene in the stolen white Volkswagen Caddy van. Gardaí are appealing anyone that may have been in the Rowan View estate on
Monday night and who may have observed either a suspicious person or a suspicious vehicle in the area, to please contact them," said Sgt Holohan.
