Tributes flood in for 'gentle and kind' Clare man who has unexpectedly passed away

46-year-old David Morgan, of Toonagh, Fountain, Ennis, unexpectedly passed away at the University Hospital Limerick on Tuesday, March 11. 

Predeceased by his mother, Maeve, and father, Ralph, Mr Morgan will be sadly missed by his sisters Mary and Olivia, brother-in-law Neil, nephew Gearoid, nieces Jenny, Aoife and Eimear, uncles Tony and Jim, aunts Mary-Jo and Elizabeth, extended family and friends.

Many friends and former co-workers took to RIP.ie to share their condolences. 

A past colleague of David's commented, "Heartbroken to hear of David's passing. I first met David many years ago in GE Money. A gentleman with a great sense of humour. I will miss his infectious laugh and quick wit. May you sleep peacefully, reunited with your parents again. Condolences to the Morgan family and all his friends."

A former carer of the Ennis man said, "R.I.P David a true gentleman and a great inspiration to everyone with his amazing willpower, always independent up until the end was a pleasure to care for and was always so grateful, may he rest in peace. We are all saddened to hear of his passing and we will certainly miss him."

Another colleague stated, "Heart-breaking news to hear of David's passing. I was also a colleague of David's in GE . What a gentle and kind man he was. RIP to one of the best."

David reposed at St Tola’s Church, Dysert, yesterday evening from 6pm to 7:30pm. His Requiem Mass took place today (March 14) at 11am, and was then followed by burial afterwards in Dysart O'Dea Cemetery.
