Clare gardaí 'anxious' to seek witnesses following theft of mare and foal

Killaloe Gardaí are investigating the theft of two animals from the Gortnaglogh area of Broadford on Thursday, July 17. 

The animals, a mare and foal, were believed to be taken at 3:30am.

The mare is described as a heavy cob type with foal at foot. She is bay with a white face and has four white legs with feathers while the foal is approximately 3-4 months old and is also bay with a white face. 

A spokesperson for Gardaí in the town said, "Killaloe Gardaí are anxious to speak to anyone that was in the Broadford area on Thursday morning, you may have seen a vehicle travelling with a horse box or a cattle box and if you did or if you have any information, please contact Killaloe Garda Station on 061 620540 or your local Garda Station."
