Gardaí appeal for witnesses after phone is stolen from windowsill in Ennis

The theft occurred at exactly 8:25pm, as seen on CCTV by Gardaí

Gardaí are investigating an incident of theft after a mobile phone was stolen from a windowsill in Ennis

Taking place on Thursday, September 18, the phone was left on the windowsill of commercial premises in the Market. It is understood that the offence occurred at exactly 8:25pm.

According to Gardaí in the town, CCTV shows a person walking past the premises in the direction of the Taylors Public House. The person is then seen picking up this phone and continuing to walk. A spokesperson confirmed that it was raining that Thursday evening, with the culprit wearing a knee length coat, dark trousers or jeans and black shoes with a very distinctive deep white sole.

Gardaí are now appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident to come forward, especially motorists who may have  parked on the Taylors Public House side of the Market.
