County Clare is now undoubtedly in the spotlight as Tourism Ireland hosted its annual B2B travel trade workshops in Amsterdam and Brussels.

Tourism companies from across Ireland – including Caherconnell Fort and Sheepdog Demonstrations and The Clare Collection – joined Tourism Ireland at the workshops this week. They engaged in meetings with Dutch and Belgian travel professionals, to inspire them to extend the content of their existing programmes, or to include the destination for the first time in their 2026 itinteraries.

Around 400 commercial meetings were conducted over the two days, inspiring fresh ideas, ensuring Ireland features strongly in future programmes and delivering overseas tourism business for Ireland in 2026 and beyond.

Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Northern Europe, said: “I’m delighted that our valued Dutch and Belgian travel partners are taking the time to meet with us in Amsterdam and Brussels this week, finding out more about the richness of our tourism offering. Our goal is simple: to create meaningful connections between small businesses from Ireland with Dutch and Belgian travel professionals who can bring visitors at scale.”

The workshops provided a valuable opportunity for Tourism Ireland and its partners from Ireland to remind the Dutch and Belgian travel professionals about the many great things to see and do across the country– including the spectacular scenery, superb food and drink offering, as well as world-class visitor attractions and outdoor experiences.
