Gardaí in Ennis are appealing for witnesses following a shocking hit-and-run in the town.
On Monday, October 13, a young person was walking with her dog along the Tulla Road. Upon reaching the pedestrian crossing near the Certa Filling station and Coffee Rush, the light was green and she crossed the street.

According to Gardaí, the girl got halfway across the road when an unknown vehicle drove through the crossing. This car struck both the young person and her dog. The incident occurred between 6:30pm and 6:50pm in the evening.
The vehicle failed to stop or remain at the scene, continuing outbound on the Tulla Road.
