Witnesses sought in Miltown Malbay after window of home is damaged in criminal incident

The injured party was in their home on the Flag Road when they heard glass smashing

Gardaí in Miltown Malbay are appealing for witnesses following a midday criminal damage incident in the town. 

On Thursday, October 30, the injured party was in their home on the Flag Road when they heard glass smashing.

It was discovered that the front window had been broken and a man was seen fleeing the scene. This occurred at approximately 3:40pm.

A witness described the suspect as being in his early 20s, wearing a black/grey tracksuit and a white face covering. According to Gardaí, following the incident, he ran in the direction of Spanish Point and down the laneway behind The Central Hotel.

If you were travelling or walking on the Flag Road in Milltown Malbay on Thursday afternoon and you witnessed this person walking or running on the road, or if you saw someone near The Central Hotel at this time, please contact the Gardaí in Milltown Malbay on 065 7084222.
