Mary uses therapeutic photography to explore her family's generational trauma through a deeply personal perspective.

In this project, she delves into the story of her mother, Teresa, and her stolen sister, also named Mary, as part of a journey toward understanding and forgiveness.

Through her lens, Mary captures the Irish landscape, a symbol of the devastation that led to Ireland’s largest diaspora, with many families forever separated from their homeland.

‘Mary, Mary’ is a photovoice project for victims and survivors of the mother and baby homes scandal.

Based on a book of the same title, 'Mary Mary', by Mary Cosgrove which was produced to coincide with the exhibition that took place at The London Irish Centre from January 6 until February 14, 2024.

The exhibition will be continuing it's journey in Ireland at The Culturlann Sweeney Gallery, Kilkee, Co. Clare until November 29.
