Gardaí were involved in a pursuit of the getaway vehicle but due to the dangerous manner of driving, eventually withdrew

ALERT: Multiple luxury items stolen by balaclava-wearing culprits who broke into Clare home

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating a burglary in Clarecastle, where a number of luxury items were stolen. 

Taking place on Thursday evening, December 18, three culprits, all wearing balaclavas, entered a home on Hill View after being dropped there by a black Audi A4. The incident took place between 4pm and 4:15pm. 

During the course of this burglary, a variety of luxury items were stolen, including:

  • A gold Armani bracelet
  • A gold ring and gold earrings encrusted with a green stone
  • A men’s Tommy Hilfiger watch
  • A men’s gold chain with a cross
  • A ladies Guess heart chain
  • And a number of Xbox games

These offenders also left the scene in the same black Audi A4. Gardaí were involved in the initial pursuit of this vehicle as it travelled in the direction of Limerick but due to the dangerous manner of driving, eventually withdrew. 

They are now appealing to anyone who may have observed this black Audi A4 in the area before the crime was committed on Thursday, December 18, just after 4pm. 

If you were travelling towards Limerick after 4pm on this day and observed this car driving dangerously, if you have dash-cam footage or phone footage of this vehicle, Gardaí would like to speak to you.
