According to Gardaí, registration plates are stolen to assist in the commission of further criminal offences, such as burglaries of homes

Witnesses sought as registration plate is stolen from car parked at busy Clare shopping centre

Gardaí in Shannon are investigating the theft of a registration plate from a vehicle in the Shannon Town Centre car park. 

On Saturday, December 20 between the hours of 11:30am and 6:30pm, the front registration plate was stolen from a red Volvo S40.

According to Gardaí, registration plates are stolen to assist in the commission of further criminal offences, such as burglaries of homes and commercial properties and unauthorised takings of other vehicles.
