Clare motorists warned of three-week closure on key local road to facilitate essential works

A road in the busy Clare village of Mullagh will be subject to a full road closure from January 5 until February 27, with a 24-hour closure in place throughout this period.

Clare County Council has announced the closure of the L-2120 & L-2098, Doonogan, Mullagh, Co. Clare, to facillitate the installation of a new watermain.

Motorists travelling from Mullagh, have been advised by the council, that they should divert via Annagh, L-2098; turn right onto Quartermire, L-2114 and turn right onto L-2120, Mountscott and onto Doonogan.

Meanwhile those travelling to Mullagh, the diversion recommended is to follow the L‑2120 from Doonogan to Mountscott, then continue onto L‑2114 (Quartermire) and turn left onto L‑2098 through Annagh to reach Mullagh.

The road closure notice was given by Clare County Council in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 of the council's decision to close the roads detailed hereunder for the period stated to facilitate the installation of a new watermain.
