An investigation has commenced in Ennis following a break-in and vandalism incident at a well-known premises in the town.
Taking place on St Stephen’s night, the De Valera Library, located on Harmony Row, was illegally entered between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on December 26.

Gardaí believe that the perpetrator or perpetrators gained access by breaking a rear window and following this, damage was then caused to the inside of the old library. Areas of the property were also damaged with graffiti.
An appeal has now been issued by authorities, asking that if you or someone you know saw anyone on Harmony Row on this Friday night between 9:30pm and 10:30pm to contact them. If you have any information regarding this crime whatsoever, please contact your local Garda Station or Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100.
