Donegal Gardaí ask landowners to check sheds and outhouses for signs of missing 21-year-old

Daena Tighe was last seen on the Cockhill Road in Buncrana

The search for a missing Buncrana woman Daena Tighe has been stood down after the discovery of a body.

The discovery was made in the Buncrana area on Tuesday morning.

Gardaí renewed an appeal for information about the missing 21-year-old on Monday.

She was last seen at midday on Friday, January 6 along the Cockhill Road in Buncrana.

An appeal was issued to landowners in the Buncrana area to check sheds, outhouses or other remote buildings on their lands.

Gardaí have thanked the public and the media for their assistance during the search.
