Councillor Kathleen McGurk will host the event with MLA Caoimhe Archibald
Sinn Féin councillor Kathleen McGurk and East Derry MLA Caoimhe Archibald will host a youth outreach event this week in Dungiven.
The event will give young people a chance to voice their opinions on the issues affecting them and wider society.
Cllr Kathleen McGurk said she is excited for the chance to hear the 'often overlooked' views of young people.
"We would love to get a chance to talk to some young people about the issues that are affecting them every day.
"With the cost-of-living crisis and ongoing DUP boycott of the Assembly, young people's voices can often be overlooked,” she said.
MLA Caoimhe Archibald said she is 'eager' to hear the thoughts and ideas of young people on how to 'make politics fairer'.
"Our young people have a fresh, forward-thinking, outlook on life that can guide us all.
"We encourage everyone to come along to this event and have a chat with us about activism and how it can make a difference in your community," she said.
It will be held in Glór Dhún Geimhin on Wednesday 15th February at 6pm.
