Two arrests in Derry following discovery of large quantity of drugs in 'Operarion Dealbreaker'

A large quantity of drugs and cash were seized in Derry yesterday as part of 'Operarion Dealbreaker'.

Following a routine traffic stop yesterday evening officers from Waterside Neighbourhood Team carried out a search of a vehicle with suspected drugs being found.

A subsequent house search was carried out and a large quantity of class A, and C drugs along with cash were seized.

Two people were subsequently arrested and are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.

A police spokesperson said: "Drugs don't belong in our community.

"The Police Service of Northern Ireland, through Op Dealbreaker, continues to tackle the harm caused by illegal drugs, illicit prescription medication and their supply, use and misuse in Northern Ireland.

"If you have any information in relation to the supply, use and misuse of drugs in your area please contact your local police station or contact crime stoppers anonymously on 0800555111."
