Derry Court: 18-year-old woman returned to court on bail breach

Man returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on 28 charges

An 18-year-old woman lasted just three days before breaching her bail Derry Magistrate's Court heard today.

Courtney Temple (18) of Greenwalk in Derry appeared charged with breaching her bail on March 26.

The court heard that Temple had breached her bail on March 23 and re-released with a final warning.

A police officer told the court that the defendant had lasted three days before breaching again.

The officer told the court that police attended an address and found the defendant who appeared to be intoxicated in breach of her bail conditions.

A breath test revealed her to have a reading of 62mgs with the driving limit being 35mgs.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said that despite Temple's young age she had 'problems with alcohol.'

He asked the court to release Temple on condition she sought help for her alcohol issues.

Temple was released on bail on condition she attended her GP and will appear again on April 3.
