Award winning fine dining restaurant, Browns Bonds Hill on Derry's Waterside, has been recognised by the highly acclaimed Michelin guide for yet another year.

The Michelin Guides are a series of guidebooks that have been published by the French tyre company Michelin since 1900.

The Guide awards up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. The acquisition or loss of a star or stars can have dramatic effects on the success of a restaurant.

Commenting on their recent success, Browns Bonds Hill wrote: "Congratulations to our entire team at Browns Bonds Hill for being recognised by the Michelin Guide once again.

"Our team is dedicated to ensuring every diner has the best experience and it is their hard work and consistency that brings this prestigious accolade to our restaurant every year. Well done team."

Since establishing Browns Bonds Hill in 2009, Ian Orr and Marcus Roulston have opened Browns in Town, Strand Road, Derry, Ardtara Country House & Restaurant, Upperlands and Eighteen Ninety Four, Portstewart.

Most of the restaurants within The Browns Bonds Hill Collection are recommended by the Michelin Guide every year and they boast prestigious AA stars for culinary excellence.

The Browns Bonds Hill Collection have previously won awards such as Restaurant Association of Ireland ‘Best Restaurant in Ulster’ and Tourism NI’s ‘Best Food Tourism Experience’ in Northern Ireland.

Co owner and chef, Ian Orr, has been named Best Chef in County Derry five years in a row by the Restaurants Association of Ireland.

Writing on the restaurant, Michelin said: "The flagship of the Browns group sits on the east bank of the River Foyle and comes with a plush lounge and an intimate, art deco style dining room.

"The artful modern cooking is elaborate in its techniques and combinations and represents good value for money."
