The Apprentice Boys of Derry have raised £1,000 towards Respiratory Research at Altnagelvin Hospital.
The donation follows a Service of Thanksgiving and Reflection held earlier in the year in St Columb’s Cathedral for anyone who had lost loved ones and friends during Covid. During the service a collection was held towards medical research.
A wide range of research programmes are undertaken at Altnagelvin by the Western Trust, in association with the University of Ulster and with other medical research partners.
The Associated Clubs of the Apprentice Boys of Derry are pleased to be able to support, in a small way, the work at Altnagelvin that was enormously important during Covid, and which continues to be important locally, nationally, and internationally through its many and diverse research streams.
