Derry Court: 25-year-old man returned for trial on drug charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges.

Stephen Patton (25) of Pump Street in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.

He was charged with possessing cocaine and possessing the drugs with intent to supply on December 30 and 31 2021.

Patton was further charged with offering to supply cocaine on January 31 2021.

He was further charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine on October 13 2021 and offering to supply the drug on December 28 2021.

Patton also faced a charge of possessing criminal property on December 30 2021.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Patton said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on September 7 and released on bail.
