Sinn Féin councillor Brenda Chivers has said a submission for a social housing development at Old Distillery Gardens, Church Street, Limavady is a welcome step to address local housing need.
Speaking after attending the consultation councillor Chivers said: “Plans to provide much needed social housing for Limavady is a welcome step closer today with the submission by Triangle Housing Association working with Turland Group Ltd for a social housing development comprising of 24 new build units which will include wheelchair assessable units.
“The urgent need for additional social housing in Limavady is an issue I along with my Sinn Féin colleagues have been lobbying the Housing Executive on for some considerable time.
“Everyone deserves a safe, high-quality home.”
