Declan Devine will manage in an FAI Cup final for the second time in his career after Bohemians defeated Galway United 1-0 earlier today.
The Premier Division club came through a testing encounter at Eamon Deacy Park, winning 1-0 thanks to Dylan Connolly's goal on the stroke of half time. Bohs really had to dig deep in the second half, particularly following a red card to goalkeeper Kacper Radkowski.
Devine, who led Derry City to FAI Cup success with a memorable 3-2 victory over St. Patrick's Athletic at the Aviva Stadium back in 2012, will now lead Bohs out on November 12, at the end of his first season at the club.
Clearly emotional after the game, Devine said: "The players were magnificent. I'm delighted for the club and delighted for every one of the players who have bought into what we're trying to do this year. It's a new group of players, we brought in 14 or 15 new players this year. The work rate that they put into the win was second to none.
"You don't want to just get to the final, you want to make sure you come away with the trophy at the end of it."
