Well known Derry playwright Eddie Kerr sadly passes away

The late Eddie Kerr

Well known Derry playwright Eddie Kerr has sadly died.

Mr Kerr, a former teacher and charity worker, passed away at the North West Cancer Centre in Altnagelvin Hospital.

Eddie was the beloved husband of Annette. Devoted father of Tara, Shane and Kevin. A much loved father-in-law of Eric and Tali. Loving grandfather of Aoife, Saorlaith and Ella. Precious son of the late Eddie and Sheila.

Dearest brother of Liz, John and Debbie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Eddie’s remains will be reposing at his late home, 33 Ashfield Terrace from 6pm this evening. Funeral leaving from there on Sunday, October 22 at 12:50pm for 1:30pm Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan.

Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house strictly private from 10pm till 11am.
