Ballymaguigan 2-15

Second half goals from Daniel Bradley and Tomas Brady helped Ballymaguigan win the Derry Junior title at the end of an emphatic display at Owenbeg on Saturday evening.

In a largely one-sided final, Brady was the star of the show as he scored 1-6 on his own as Ballymaguigan lived up to the favourites tag.

Moneymore never stopped trying, but they were up against it at half time as they trailed 0-3, 0-10, thanks in main to Brady, who was almost casually stroking over points at will, while Moneymore struggled at the other end with four wides.

Ballymaguigan rammed home their advantage in the second half and had one hand on the trophy when substitute Bradley fired home from the penalty spot.

The second goal came with 11 minutes remaining when Moneymore were caught short at the back and Michael Spiers set up Brady for an easy finish.
