Kathleen Canney (née Henry), 24 Glendale Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Kathleen Canney (née Henry), 27th October 2023, peacefully at her home 24 Glendale Park, (formerly of Lecky Road), beloved wife of Samuel, loving mother of the late Noel, dear daughter of the late Freddy and Nellie, cherished sister of Bernie, Helen, Ann, Robbie, Joe and the late Tommy, Freddy, Maryrose and Patsy and a dear and loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews, loved and sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home today (Monday, 30th October) at 10.20am to St. Joseph’s Church, Galliagh for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. St. Joseph intercede for her.

Ellen Deighan, 5 St. Columba’s Park, Ballerin

We regret to inform you of the passing of Ellen Deighan (Ballerin),  beloved mother of Adrian; daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen; loving sister of Sean and the late Edward and Tony; sister-in-law of Brigid, Brigid and the late Kathleen and a much adored aunt. Funeral cortege will leave from her late residence, 5 St. Columba’s Park, today (Monday) at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. Philip William Doherty, Coleraine

The death has taken place of Philip William Doherty, 28th October 2023, peacefully at hospital, late of Dundonald and formerly of Coleraine. Dearly loved son of the late William and Maggie, loving brother of Pat and the late June and Sheila and a much loved uncle and great-uncle. Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Portstewart on Wednesday at 12noon followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only please. The death had taken place of Louis McCormick, 28th October 2023 peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Teresa, loving father of Louis, Martin, Yvonne, Brian, Declan and Maria, father-in-law of Carey, Annette and Paul, a much loved grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Eily and the late John, Sammy, Eugene Maureen, Dan, Anthony, Gertie and Martin. His remains will be reposing in his home, 9 Whitethorn Drive, Currynierin. Funeral from there today (Monday) at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ardmore. Beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Nan. Devoted sister of James (Dada). A much loved sister-in-law of Sarah. Loving aunt of Séamas. Dearest friend of Agnes and Ann. Robert John (Robbie) Stewart, 10 Avish Gardens, Waterside, Derry

The death has taken place of Robert John (Robbie) Stewart, 27th October 2023, peacefully at Daleview Care Home, (surrounded by his loving family in his 91st year formerly of 10 Avish Gardens, Waterside) dearly beloved husband of the late Marina loving brother of Margaret and Christine ( England ) a dear uncle and great uncle, a dear brother-in-law of Robert and Dave.
