Ciaran Coll and Ciaron Harkin have signed new deals at Derry City.
Derry City duo Ciaron Harkin and Ciaran Coll have both agreed one-year extensions to their current contracts at the Brandywell.
‘Jackie’, who has made 99 appearances for the Candystripes, has gradually returned to first team training during the second half of the season following back-to-back ACL injuries, and boss Ruaidhri Higgins paid tribute to the Creggan man for his contribution to the squad throughout his time on the sidelines.
“Despite his own obvious setbacks, Ciaron has been brilliant in our dressing room and he has remained a huge part of our squad.
“Everybody knows what he gives you on the pitch but the character he has shown has been first class.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him continue his rehabilitation into pre-season and getting back out on the pitch again.
“He’s Derry City through and through and he deserves the opportunity to get his career back on track at this club.”
Ciaran Coll meanwhile, has just completed his fifth consecutive season at the club and is on 142 appearances. and the full back has turned in some impressive performances this year.
“Ciaran Coll has shown brilliant adaptability in different positions for us this season” said the Manager.
“He has been very, very consistent during my time here and is very popular among the players and staff. I’m delighted that he has agreed to extend his stay at the club for another year.”
