'The latest death toll in Gaza has surpassed 11,000 people, including more than 4,000 children. The Al-Shifa Hospital, the main hospital in Gaza, has been severely damaged by Israeli attacks and is not functioning.'

The Derry branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) is urging people in Derry and the North West to join the March for Palestine in Dublin.

The March for Palestine is taking place on Saturday, November 18.

The IPSC Derry spokesperson, Catherine Hutton said: "The March for Palestine in Dublin has been organised by the IPSC and supported by a wide range of groups. It will demand an end to the Israeli aggression and siege on Gaza and an immediate ceasefire.

"The IPSC Derry has organised a bus to Dublin, leaving from Foyle Street at 8:30 am on Saturday. The bus will return to Derry at around 6 pm. The cost of the bus is £20 per person, and places can be booked by contacting the IPSC Derry on Facebook.

"We appeal to everyone who cares about justice and peace in the Middle East to join us on this vital march. The situation in Gaza is catastrophic, with Israel continuing to bomb and kill civilians, destroy homes and infrastructure, and block humanitarian aid.

"The latest death toll in Gaza has surpassed 11,000 people, including more than 4,000 children. The Al-Shifa Hospital, the main hospital in Gaza, has been severely damaged by Israeli attacks and is not functioning. The international community has failed to stop Israel's war crimes, and the Irish government has been largely silent and therefore complicit in supporting Israel's apartheid regime.

"We need to show our solidarity with the Palestinian people and demand action from our government and the UN to end this massacre and lift the siege on Gaza," said Ms Hutton.
