Man returned for trial at Derry Crown Court to face eleven drug related charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges.

The man who had been granted anonymity appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.

He faced a total of 11 drug related charges including possessing MDMA on December 1 last year, being concerned in the supply of the drugs on the same date.

He was also charged with being concerned in the supply of the same drug between October 17 and December 1 last year.

The man was further charged with being concerned in the supply of Ketamine and being concerned in an offer to supply the same drug between September 30 and November 13.

He was also charged with possessing Pregablin on December 1 last year.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.

The man said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 8 and released on bail.
