Derry City and Strabane District Council have announced some amendments to services during the Christmas holiday period.
If your bin is normally collected on a Monday or Tuesday you will be affected by the service changes.
Blue and brown bin collections due to take place on Christmas Day will be lifted on Saturday, 23rd December.
Blue and brown bin collections due to take place on Boxing Day will be lifted on Sunday, 24th December.
Meanwhile, black and brown bin collections due to take place on New Year’s Day will be lifted on Saturday, 30th December.
There are also minor changes to opening hours for Recycling Centres, Leisure Services and Visitors Services.
Recycling centres will be open as normal on Saturday, 23rd December.
On Christmas Eve (Sunday, 24th December), Strathfoyle, Pennyburn and Strahan’s Road will be open from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
Recycling Centres will all be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
All recycling centres will reopen as normal from Wednesday, 27th December to Saturday, 30th December.
On New Year’s Eve (Sunday, 31st December), Pennyburn, Strathfoyle and Strahan’s Road will be open from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
All recycling centres will be closed on New Year’s Day.
